Coco Husk Block - Compressed reptile substrate

Ultimate Exotics Coco Husk Block is a compressed coconut-husk substrate for terrariums and vivariums. Hydrating the block loosens and expands the material, creating a natural-looking substrate for suitable reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.

Coco husk can be used alone or incorporated into a custom substrate blend for naturalistic and bioactive-style enclosures. Its fibrous texture also adds depth and structure to terrarium floors.

Preparation

Place the block in a sufficiently large, clean container and add water gradually. Allow it to absorb the water before breaking the softened block apart by hand. Add more water only when necessary.

Drain or squeeze out excess water before adding the substrate to the enclosure. The required moisture level and substrate depth will depend on the housed species.
